We've moved!

After a long period of searching and deliberating, we have finally moved offices!

We have been looking for the right home over the last couple of years, and feel the new place is well worth the wait. We are now based in the Pathoekeweg, in the industrial area "Blauwe Toren", a few miles north of Bruges.

New opening hours

Due to the current summer heat, I-Touchsystems will temporarily be closed in the afternoon until further notice. Our offices will still be open from 9 AM until 12 AM.

We're about to move...

ITS has begun moving into its new facility at Pathoekeweg 9B/007 in Bruges, Belgium. We expect to have completed the move by the third week of July.

During our existence, ITS has moved to larger facilities twice. The new workshop will span 900 m², doubling its current size, and with 150 m², our office space is quadrupled.

More information is to follow and a notification will be sent out, requesting customers to ammend their records.

POSready 2009 is here

Windows Embedded POS Ready 2009 is Microsoft's embedded operating system, optimised for OEMs building POS solutions and enterprises using POS devices. The net-generation POS platform is a system designed to seamlessly connect POS solutions with peripherals, servers and services.

Windows Embedded POS Ready 2009 accounted for 36% of retail and hospitality POS shipments in 2007. Ilya Bukshteyn, senior director of Windows Embedded Marketing at Microsoft said that Windows Embedded POS Ready 2009 is designed specifically to help the transition from transaction processing to enhanced customer service and relationship building.

The new Windows Embedded POS Ready 2009 platform will offers retailers and hospitality organisations a familiar next-generation solution that is easily deployed and remotely managed, and that provides new storage options lowering the total cost of ownership of POS devices.

New ITS computer systems

Our embedded computers are now more performant than ever. The old 'Geforce 7050' chipset has been replaced by the new and better performing Geforce 9300/nForce 730i chipset. This change is reflected in all of our products. This new specification ensures better graphics performance and video playback on every level. The Geforce 9300 is nVidia's fastest GPI to date.

ITS recently introduced a new addition to its line of large format information terminals. The Milan 32 offers the same features you've come to expect from the Paris and Milan kiosk ranges, and features a high quality 32" HD-ready LCD display.

Intel to launch vPRO chipset for embedded platforms

The code-name Montevina refers to the fifth-generation Centrino platform, now formally named Centrino 2 to avoid confusion with previous Centrino platforms. It was scheduled for release at Computex Taipei 2008, which took place on June 3 - 7, 2008, but has been delayed until July 14, due to problems with integrated graphics and wireless certification. Montevina will support Penryn, Intel's 45nm die-shrink version of Core 2 processors.

The Montevina platform is branded as "Centrino 2 vPro" when combined with security and manageability features built-in technologies.

Important features include: the Intel Mobile 4 ("Cantiga") chipset, GMA X4500 graphics and ICH9M southbridge, DDR3 support, Support for Intel AMT 3.0 (vPRO).

This technology will be available in the form of Kontron embedded boards.
